The BEAR team now includes an economist. Dr. Scholz has over 20 years of experience in statistical analysis, specializing in international trade and agricultural products. Her research experience includes trade of specialty products such as flowers, strawberries and baby squash from Central America into the US market and canned goods such as Alpaca meat from Peru to Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Scholz can be consulted on estimating sample size when complex failures need to be analyzed. She has consulted on testing methodologies and field data acquisition and analysis of large data samples and provides services in presenting complex data in layman terms and for court.

Dr. Scholz is fluent in Spanish and has worked in Latin America for over 20 years. She also is fluent in German and French and has consulted to the European Union on international trade issues.
