The American Society of Civil Engineers awarded the GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE SEISMIC RETROFIT PROJECT the Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award for 2007. BEAR's Dr. Glen Stevick and Weili Cheng participated significantly in this project in designing the seismic dampers and determining the seismic energy.
