Laser Scanning and X-Rays
Please also check out our new services in structured light scanning offered by our sister company 4D Imaging, Inc.
Berkeley Engineering and Research has the ability to capture virtually any three-dimensional geometry using high-resolution laser scanning. A few examples are shown below. |

BEAR engineers can scan a race car to determine wind resistance and compare sheet metal variations. BEAR has also scanned cars, trucks and buses after accidents to determine exact deformations. |

This laser scan is of a damaged hull plate from a ship. BEAR provided the shipyard with the exact shape necessary to repair the hull. |

An Imersion Heater is suspected of causing a large industrial fire. The X-Ray confirmed the investigator's initial hunch.
BEAR labs has a portable X-Ray machine to quickly image encasings in the field. This helps experts determine which evidence to secure. Additionally, it can avoid the lengthy process of destructive testing in labs. |
